Patamu is a site that allows to protect from plagiarism your art works through time-stamping, a legally valid informatic procedure that can be used to demonstrate the paternity of a creative work. Through Patamu it is possible to protect from plagiarism any artistic or creative work: music, photos, but also books, newspaper or blog, scientific articles and so on. The creative work can also be contextually released in Creative Commons licence.
Patamu is an independent project thought to offer to musicians, artists and creative works creators in general, a simple and fast way to demonstrate the paternity of their own works, through the time-stamping procedure. The project is supported and followed also by the Free Hardware Foundation network, through Isotype, Sportello Liberius e Frontiere Digitali.
Patamu actually offers a FREE and a PRO service for files timestamping and storage. It is possible to upload on the site the .zip file containing the creative work(s) and the paternity declaration, and to download the timestamp from our site in a few seconds. The time stamping procedure has legal value, and allows to attribute a certain date and hour to an informatic document, in our case a .zip file containing in itself the creative work and a paternity declaration, in order to be able to prove paternity of a creative works in case someone else pretends to be the creator of that same work in a successive moment, protecting thus the real creator from plagiarism.
The time stamping service is given as is. We carefully follow any phase of the time stamping process, nevertheless is suggested to further verify the timestamp to be valid. We suggest you furthermore to download the .tsr timestamp from our site and to store it in a safe place together with the original .zip file.
